Lunar New Year 2026

Our Tamura community will celebrate Lunar New Year on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, and we need your help to make this beloved tradition a success! We are looking for volunteers to assist with set-up, festival activities, and tear-down, as well as monetary and food donations to support the event.
Every contribution, big or small helps create a meaningful and festive experience for our students. Thank you for supporting our Tamura Tigers and celebrating Lunar New Year with us!

It’s getting colder, and we still have a limited supply of zip-ups, hoodies, and T-shirts available. Once ordered, items will be delivered to your child’s classroom within 1 week.

About Us

Become a member of the largest volunteer child advocacy group in the nation which has been in existence for over 100 years. The number one reason to join the Parent Teacher Association is to benefit your child. It is not about volunteering or attending meetings. PTA is the oldest child advocacy organization in existence that gives all parents a voice in their students' education. Membership is the heart of PTA and we all make a difference.

Fundraising

Throughout the year, Tamura hosts several fundraisers to fund our approved budget for activities, enrichment, classroom reimbursements, and the many other things PTA does, in addition to Outdoor Science School Fundraising. Beyond generous donations and corporate matches, our two largest fundraisers are the Jog-a-thon and Auction Baskets at Open House. Kona Ice, Dine outs, Grams, and Popcorn sales all support OSS. You can also support Tamura year-round through community fundraising programs, covered below.
